Conifox is the largest grower of trees and shrubs in Scotland for the landscape trade from bare root and container grown trees right up to semi mature.  We stock quality specimen plants in a various range of pot sizes, hedging transplants, herbaceous, bamboo, heathers and grasses.  We grow around 500,000 plants annually in 2 and 3 litre pots and it is worthwhile to visit us and have a look around the nursery.

Joe Hart – General Manager
Joe trained at Coleraine University and Greenmount College in Northern Ireland and now heads our team of 10 fully trained horticultural staff. He started with the company 30 years ago as a general nursery worker when they were known as Foxhall & Gyle. Then in 1984 Conifox Nurseries was formed and set up as a container unit on the outskirts of Edinburgh. Ten years ago Joe started a major expansion in the nursery which included a new growing area to accommodate up to a half a million shrubs, conifers and trees.  We are now growing a very large range of specimen shrub, trees and conifers in 10 litre containers upwards to 110 litre.
 
John Roy – Assistant Manager
John started working at Conifox Nurseries in 1986 as a young trainee on a youth training scheme.  During this time he was trained in all aspects of nursery work and really enjoyed dealing hands on with sales customers and lifting orders.  He was employed to work full time in the nursery in 1988 to work in the sales department where he built up a good working relationship with our customers.  John was promoted to Assistant Manager in 2008 and now runs the sales department and is responsible for his own staff.
